What is Yardd?
Yardd is an online marketplace where horse owners can discover, book and pay for independent equestrian practitioners including physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and more. Yardd does not provide the services itself. Each practitioner runs their own business.
Is Yardd free to use?
Yes. It’s free for horse owners to browse and book. Practitioners pay a small service fee on completed bookings.
Where is Yardd available?
Yardd currently serves the UK and is expanding region by region.
Do I need to be over 18 to use Yardd?
Yes. You must be at least 18 to create an account or make a booking.
For Practitioners
Who can list on Yardd?
Any UK-based equestrian practitioner such as physiotherapists, farriers, vets, saddle fitters and other horse care professionals.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Practitioners must confirm they hold appropriate professional insurance. You may be asked for evidence.
How much does it cost to use Yardd?
It is currently free to join and list your services. A 15% service fee is deducted from each completed booking.
How do I get paid?
Payments are handled securely through Stripe and typically arrive a few days after the service is completed.
Can I set my own prices and availability?
Yes. You manage your own pricing, services and availability.
Can I take repeat bookings off Yardd?
If a customer first finds you on Yardd you must keep future bookings with that customer on the platform.
What if a client cancels?
You set your own cancellation policy and customers agree to it before booking.
For Horse Owners
How do I book a practitioner?
Browse listings, pick a service, choose a date and follow the prompts to book and pay securely.
How do I know a practitioner is qualified?
Practitioners list their qualifications, experience and memberships. Reviews from other horse owners also help you choose with confidence.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Each practitioner has their own cancellation policy which is shown on their listing and at checkout. Refunds follow their policy.
What if the practitioner doesn’t turn up?
If the practitioner fails to attend without reasonable notice you’ll normally receive a full refund. Yardd will review the situation and help.
Can I message a practitioner before booking?
Yes. You can send questions through the secure messaging feature on each listing.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

After your appointment you’ll be invited to leave a review. Your feedback helps other horse owners.
